The "common good" stands as a testament of authentic Christianity.


"We, too, are sorry" ... a joint statement from the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, Catholic Religious Australia and Catholic Social Services, to mark the national apology to the forgotten Australians and former child migrants by the Prime Minister, Mr Kevin Rudd, on November 16.

"... the revelations contained in the Senate Inquiry Report are the very opposite of all that we would wish to stand for."


Catholic Religious Australia will facilitate live-in orientation workshops next year for Religious new to Australia in a bid to expose them to Australian culture and to help them network to overcome isolation in a new country.


The message that a commitment to ecology is not an optional extra when following Jesus Christ will underlie the next Catholic Religious Australia Assembly when it meets in Hobart next year.


The humanitarian work of many Australian Religious inspired Isabel Amaral Guterres in a lifetime's commitment to justice and service, which has led to her being conferred with the Australian Catholic University's highest honour.


The woman behind one of the most recognisable religious names in the world - Joan Chittister OSB - will give a public lecture  while she is in Melbourne for the Parliament of the World's Religions.


in the spirit of the Assembly ...  Unity in Canberra
"Unity" and "Canberra" are words that rarely appear in the same sentence.  Yet the seriousness of climate change brought leaders from six religious faiths together in a united lobbying stand in the nation's capital ahead of the Copenhagen summit.
