from the CRA President, Sr Clare Condon SGS ...

" ... While we recognize that many religions have adherents among the general Australian population, we are focusing this year on dialogue between the Abrahamic Faiths - Judaism, Christianity and Islam.  The title of the National Assembly is:  Australian Religious in a Multi-Faith Society: Reality, Gift and Challenge.

"We have again engaged Patricia Bergin as the facilitator of the Assembly.  Patricia has already met with the Planning Group and, together, they are developing a programme of input, reflection, keynote and other visiting speakers (including representatives from other faith traditions), discussions and workshops.  Prayer and liturgy will be integrated within the overall theme.

"It is my hope that the Assembly will be all the more fruitful through the preparation on your part as well as on the part of the Planning Group and the various presenters.  To that end, on the CRA web site a number of articles will be published that will help us negotiate the 'geography' of perhaps unfamiliar religious territory.  Circulars from the CRA office will alert you when these articles are published..."
